 Vancouver, BC - Medallion Resources Ltd. ("Medallion" or the "Company" - TSX.V: MDL) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dr David Shaw as an advisor to the company. As Medallion builds itself into a pre-eminent player in the electric metals arena it plans to build a world-class advisory team to assist in the acquisition of properties, advise on innovative technologies and assist with future financing.

Dr Shaw has nearly three decades of experience in the resource and finance industry, with specific emphasis on technical and financial due diligence of resource projects. Shaw is an independent geological consultant that has focused on analysis of structural controls of mineralization and in the risk and financial assessment of resource-projects investments. Shaw has recently been appointed Chairman of Salares Lithium Inc (TSX-V: LIT), an emerging lithium company that is exploring the Salares 7 lithium deposit in Chile. He is also a director of First Majestic Silver Corp (TSX: FR), Pan Pacific Aggregates PLC, (LSE: PPA) and Albion Petroleum Ltd (TSX-V-NEX).

Dr Bill Bird, President and CEO of Medallion said: "We have been working with David for a number of months and, given his tremendous industry knowledge and relationships, we're thrilled to welcome him as an advisor to Medallion."

The company is also pleased to announce it has appointed Ms Erica Bearss, as a consultant, to the role of Manager Corporate Communications. Erica will be responsible for managing and building shareholder and financial-community relationships. Ms. Bearss has worked for over eight years providing senior-level corporate communications services to resource--based public companies. Her compensation is $2,500 per month plus a total of 50,000 Company stock options. The consulting contract is subject to TSX-V approval.

Medallion Resources Ltd. focuses on exploration for rare-earth elements (REE's), lithium and other metals required by the new energy-saving technologies. Increasing interest in energy conservation and environmental protection are fuelling intense interest in REE's and lithium. Medallion is well positioned to take part in the exploration and potential development breakthroughs for these commodities as understanding, demand and public-awareness of them increase.
